Branded by its maker, Herts Brothers, on its top substrate, this Library Table is a handsome and quite fine example of this very important New York cabinetmaker’s work. With its spindled stretcher, spun brass collared legs and its cast brass egg-and-dart top detailing, the piece is a robust and well-executed interpretation of English Arts & Crafts derivation. Completely original from its finish to its castings and rouge marble top, this Library Table is of the best quality.
